These five classical teas are good immune-boosting teas you can enjoy especially, during the Harmattan and flu season.
CAN I SUBSTITUTE FRESH GINGER FOR DRIED GINGER?
Yes, you can substitute fresh Ginger for dried Ginger. But keep in mind that dried Ginger is concentrate; therefore, you’ll need less the quantity. For a suitable flavor. For every one tablespoon of fresh ginger use1/4 teaspoon ground ginger.
CAN I USE LIME INSTEAD OF LEMONS?
Yes, you can use lime. Limes are good too, but lemons are less tangy.
The measuring cup for these recipes is the standard cup measurement (250ml). Wash all fruits and herbs thoroughly before use.
The five classical teas are:
1. GINGER TEA
Ginger tea is freshly delicious. You can enjoy this tea in the morning and evening.
Ginger
Cloves(optional)
Evaporated milk; great
INSTRUCTION
Crush the same amount of garlic and Ginger, with four strides of cloves. Scoop one tablespoon and add in a teapot.
Add 3 cups of water and place over heat to brew.
In a teacup, add milk as desire, use a strainer to strain tea from the teapot into Teacup. Add sugar and Enjoy with some biscuits.
2. GINGER-LEMON TEA
The most soothing refreshing teas are the ones made from organic Ginger. The combination of mild heat from Ginger and tart juice from lemons makes this tea heavenly; especially, if brewed with the right proportion of Ginger and lemon juice.
One medium lemon
One tablespoon crush ginger
Three cups of water
cloves (optional)
1 ½ tablespoon of sugar
INSTRUCTION
In a teapot, add crushed Ginger, cloves, and water. Place over heat, and allow to boil.
Wash the lemon and slice it into two. Squeeze both halves in a cup, use a spoon to remove lemon seeds.
Using a strainer, fill in the cup with brew ginger.
Add 1 ½ tablespoon sugar and mix properly.
3. CLOVE TEA.

If you want a hot spicy tea, You can add dried or fresh Ginger.
One Hibiscus Flower
Lemon(optional)
Half teaspoon Cloves
Sugar
INSTRUCTION
Brew one dried hibiscus flower and cloves in 3 cups of water. Strain into a teacup, add sugar to taste; and garnish with a slice of lemon.
Serve with cake.
4. BLACK TEA
The savories teas are those made with Cardamom. In this tea, the agreeable cardamom flavor, in a tint black teabag water brewed with an all-time spice Ginger; makes it divine. You can enjoy it more if you add some milk to it. This tea is good to serve your guest.
Black teabag
One teaspoon crushed Cardamom.
Half teaspoon ginger powder
Sugar
INSTRUCTION
Using mortar and pestle, crush Cardamom with Ginger enough to make one tablespoon after ponding. Scoop one tablespoon and put in a teapot, add 3 cups of water, and brew. Strain into a teacup, add milk and sugar; and enjoy with cookies.
5. LEMON WATER

INSTRUCTION
Add warm water in a teacup, Use a strainer to squeeze in lemon juice in warm water; add in sugar to taste and, a stem of mint leaves and lemon slice; Enjoy.
